The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a safety warning about the use of infant slings, particularly in babies under 4 months of age. Watch this video for more information. Not all slings are born the same, so inform yourself about great sling options and the bag-type slings to avoid. And look at the infant position recommendations from the CPSC below to ensure you’re using the sling properly.

Thank you for posting this. I was upset by the media attack on baby wearing! I loved my Moby when my baby was first born. I also used a locally made Slingling Sling (made here in Seattle) when my baby was smaller. The slingling sling can also be used to wear your baby on your hip when he/she is older. Now I can not live without my Beco for my 23 pound 6 month old baby! He is very happy in it when on my back or on the front. Thanks again for providing correct information about wearing your baby!
